New Thomas Wooden Railway Items for 2011

It's all about the Steamies vs the Diesels this year as Day of the Diesels, this year's feature movie s released in September.
As is always the case, new characters are introduced to the story, and older ones are resurrected.
New and Redesigned Characters There are quite a few new characters to be introduced, both in the feature movie, and another DVD released late in 2010 - Wobbly Wheels & Whistles. Below is a listing of new characters: Scruff - Introduced in Wobbly Wheels & Whistles Easter Thomas & Easter Rosie - Specially designed characters with special Easter graphics on them Holiday Lights Thomas - Special Christmas edition Thomas with a push button on the cab that turns on Christmas lights Butch - Reintroduced for a limited time Thomas & the Musical Candy Cane Car - Special holiday 2-pack.
Boxcar plays "Jingle Bells" Scruff & the Garbage Car - Specially designed "Dirty Scruff" Dart & Den - New characters to be introduced in "Day of the Diesels" Flynn - Fire truck to be introduced in "Day of the Diesels" Belle - Introduced in "Day of the Diesels" Harold - Helicopter has been redesigned with new graphics Diesel 10 - This character will play a major role in "Day of the Diesels.

" It will be reintroduced with refreshed graphics To go along with these new and re-introduced characters, special playsets will also be available, some themed around the movie: Up and Around Sodor 5 in 1 Set - This basic set can be made into five different layouts Crane and Cargo Figure 8 Set - This set includes Thomas and a cargo car to use with the crane.

Steaming Around Sodor Set - This set includes a battery-operated Thomas, tunnel and windmill.
Thomas and Belle to the Rescue - with this set, your child can re-create a scene from "Day of the Diesels." Toby's Whistling Woods Set - Inspired by the episode "Toby's Whistling Woods," this set includes Thomas and Toby and features a special switch that makes a whistling sound when they pass over it. Percy and the Diesel Works Set - Inspired by "Day of the Diesels," the Diesel Shed glows red. You can also add to these sets with special destinations as well: Ol' Wheezy Logging Crane - This crane was introduced in "Misty Island Rescue." Fuel Depot - Inspired by the movie "Day of the Diesels," nozzle raises and lowers to fuel engines. The movie "Day of the Diesels" is set to premier in September, and many of these items will become available during the year, and should be in high demand come Christmas time!
